The route
The road climbs from Nyon to Saint-Cergue in regular hairpins, crosses the Jura pastures to La Cure on the border, then reaches the Col de la Faucille at 1,323 m. The descent towards Gex overlooks the whole Lake Geneva basin.
Not to be missed
The view from the top of the Faucille over Lake Geneva, Geneva and the Mont Blanc range, best in the late afternoon when the light skims the lake.
